Jeff Gorell Endorsed by Cal Chamber and Local Chambers
    December 9th, 2009
Thousand Oaks - Candidate for State Assembly Jeff Gorell was endorsed today by the California Chamber of Commerce (CalChamber) and a number of local Chambers at a press conference in the 37th Assembly District. The candidate also used the opportunity to announce a policy action agenda to create local jobs and spark economic recovery.

"I'm honored to have the support of CalChamber and the local chambers gathered here today," said Jeff Gorell. "Working tirelessly to spark local job growth will be my immediate and most dedicated mission if elected to the legislature next year."

Jeff's "Agenda for Jobs 2010: Policy Action Plan for Job Growth and Economic Recovery" can be found by clicking here. An HTML version of the policy action plan can be found by clicking here or visiting the campaign website - www.jeffgorell.org.

"I will begin to implement my agenda for jobs immediately if elected. It's a plan that I believe will help ensure that this community is the first, not last, to emerge from the economic downturn," said Gorell.

"Jeff Gorell is an outstanding candidate to represent AD 37, which is why the CalChamber and a variety of local chambers have come together so early in this race to support him," said Robert Lapsley, CalChamber Vice President of Public Affairs. "He knows that the keys to California's economic recovery are creating jobs and reducing government spending. Jeff has amassed a broad spectrum of public and private sector experience that will serve working families and his district well."

In addition to the CalChamber endorsement, several local chamber officials provided support for Gorell, including the Oxnard and Camarillo Chambers.

Jeff Gorell has a background in business advocacy. A local small business owner himself, he serves on board of directors for the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce and chairs the organization's education committee. From 1996 to 1999, Jeff was a senior executive with the California Manufacturer and Technology Association working to support job creation policies in the State Captiol.
